Emma Fau, founder EUcapital SRL.
Emma has over 20 years of professional experience in Brussels, with 12 years experience in carrying out political advocacy work on behalf of the private equity and venture capital industry before the EU Institutions and other international organizations. Areas of expertise include small and medium size enterprise (SME) policy, entrepreneurship, access to finance, private equity, venture capital, angel financing, EU funds and programmes, research and innovation. Since Emma Founded EUcapital, Emma has worked for several public and private organisations, including investors organisations such as: Business Angels Europe (BAE), and Princip.al, an international network of family offices and private investors set up in Belgium by a member of a family office. Emma is also cofounder of Women Angels for STEAM (WA4STEAM), a woman angel’s network supporting women entrepreneurs in STEAM.
Prior to joining the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA), Emma worked for over three years at the Spanish bank Banco Bilbao Vizcaya-Argentaria (BBVA), dealing with the financial management of European funds, following up EU public tenders and advising the bank and main clients on EU budget lines, grants and subsidies of interest for them in a wide variety of sectors.
Over her career Emma has developed a strong knowledge of the EU Institutions, a large network of contacts and a powerful ability identifying business opportunities, building strong alliances and opening doors for clients.
Emma graduated from University of Zaragoza with a degree in law and afterwards obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the European University in Brussels.
